Raised in the boonies, Blake Murphy — the artist behind CHICKENFRIEDBLAKE — was driven by Oklahoma City’s coffee and art scene, finding a sense of community along the way. His fondest childhood memories involve playing Pac-Man on his dad’s computer, 6 AM car jam sessions to Grandma’s house, and countless hours exploring his creative imagination.

Finding alternative artistic avenues has strengthened Blake’s passion for creativity. He draws influence from nature, pop culture, music, and vibrant color, blending these inspirations into bold digital poster prints.

Blake has been active in specialty coffee since 2015 and currently serves smiles and espresso at Clarity Coffee in OKC’s Arts District. Latte art often inspires his illustrations, and he aspires to launch a mobile espresso bar and gallery in the future.
